Un Año Nuevo desde arriba – New Year from above

Y ahí estaremos o no seremos.

And when the 16th hour reached its ends in that night the Western reflux names as New Year, the white serpents had penetrated on its three sides the city of Nuestra Señora de La Paz announcing The Lode. There, near the ground burst firecrackers, petards and fireworks, turning the Ollada* into a delicate volcano throwing her sophisticated eruptions with ordered figures and very elegant sparks. By then, I was resting on top of the Illimani’s first peak, looking at the city become a party of prefabricated lights. Breathing was so good up there!

Moments before The Lode unleashed, sponsored by the Moon spilling for a few hours its maximum visible expression of the month and a subtle eclipse, lighting up life with blues that near worlds and swords waving the air until mixing rythms with sidereal displacement. It was done; many places were charged to accelerate the vibration along with the planet and the planet along her kin and those kin along with other kin endlessly. The air was less dense and lightness was felt in bodies. Few might have felt it, plunged in the noise of their own and foreign deafness.

Up there, flows run forming chains that un-formed with others, like musical notes that are for a while and then turn into another and another, without ceasing to sound. They also gathered all the energy released in the celebration frenzy down there that joining elevated looking for a place to follow its course. They would go to strengthen the forced necessity to fortify the links of who we are. It would be until the next year to adjust maladjustments once again.

Although, within a year, there would be changes in the rythm, it came written by the wind:

Leather drums would burst from the shadows announcing end and beginning,

roads would be the meeting place and torches would guide flows to link with life.

And there we will be or we won’t be.
